A similar experience prompted me to adopt weighted (used wheel balancing weights) holders for paint & liquid adhesives.

Good idea Paul, I'll have to knock something up in the workshop, or just learn to be more careful.

Evening Ian,
Bummer about the TET spill, but very nicely recovered :thumb2:

Unfortunately been there done that...my extra thin now sits on a big thick blob of bluetac stuck
directly to my cutting mat and isn’t going anywhere :smiling4:

Cheers Si.

I'll get into the workshop later and knock something up to hold the TET.

Hi Bob,
Sorry to read about the TET spill but you've made a nice recovery.:thumb2:
Very nice looking airframe:smiling:, oh and the pointy things at the sides of the nose are the pitot tubes to measure airspeed.

TET anti-spill deviceâ„¢ completed.

About 30 minutes in the workshop produced this.

As it was only a quick knock together I didn't bother sanding it too much, and just gave it a wipe with teak oil to show the grain.

Bob, the Eagle is looking fabulous, very nice recovery on that cracked wing join. Secondly the cement holder is a great invention.

I didn't take loads of pics today as it was just grey primer going over grey plastic, so not particularly interesting.

I also started the pre-shading but only got the top gone as my hands started tiring leading to the lines going wonky, but so far it looks like this.

Finished the pre shading tonight. Hopefully my paint order arrives from John tomorrow, then I can get started on the top coat.
