Nice work on the undercoat. I hope the paint has arrived in time for you to get a base coat on this weekend

          Topcoat done.

As always at this stage I can't decide whether I've put too much or not enough on.

I have to say, I'm loving the paint. It's from Mission Models and I'm seriously thinking of moving to it from Tamiya.

It goes on so nice and has dried to a lovely flat finish.

At one point I stupidly spilled paint out of the cup onto one of the wings. :flushed: I blew the excess of with the airbrush, and what was left just self levelled.

I decided to spray the heat shielding as well, slightly worried that the grey might pull up with masking but it stayed firmly stuck.

Half an hour's masking and 5 minutes spraying later.....

Preshading looks about right to me, just enough without being over the top. Heat shielding looks good as well.

              cheers

Nice work indeed and like Ross I quite like the preshade, very subtle. Heard good things about those Mission Models paints, might try them as well. (I have their latest model Etchmate which they produced many moons ago, and that was crap...so glad to read that their paints aren't :P )

                  Cheers

                    Cheers Wouter.

Yep, so far I'm impressed with the paint. The titanium for the heat shield was Tamiya, but I've got some MM duraluminium for the exhaust fans.

That's looking great Bob, the pre-shading as come through just right.

                        Cheers.

Not done much today, got a gloss coat on so I can start the decaling and also sprayed the jet nozzles. :smiling3:

The rest of the day I spent shooting, and was amazed to see Santa Claus pulling targets in the butts! So that's what he does in the summer. :tears-of-joy:

                              Hi Bob
Nice anti spill holder. Paintwork is looking great and the preshade has worked in a nice subtle way. I find preshading very difficult - poor airbrush skills as I usually obliterate it  I have tried the MMpaint and thought it was excellent.

                                Cheers Jim.

Yes, the MM paint is proving excellent so far, I did find with the main colour that I over thinned it which makes it less opaque, but that actually worked in my favour as I could give it multiple thin coats which gave me more control on the coverage of the pre-shading.
