Took early retirement from running a graphics/photography company a couple of years ago, the group i played keyboards in disbanded at the same time.
So main interests now are ...
Arachnology (keeping, breeding and basic taxonomic work on tarantulas (been doing this for 40+ years now)
Partner and I have a small collection of reptiles (mainly Royal Pythons that she would like to breed)
Go fly fishing as and when i can (after all i'm now in scotland so the Lochs and lakes are perfect)
I read a lot of classic novels (rice-burroughs, conan-doyle, verne etc)
Still play around with video editing, but on a personal level now.
Bought a little sports car so we can enjoy blatting down the roads through the Scottish countryside.
Just need to find an accomodating farmer/owner for some land i can use for shooting (FAC) now and it'll be perfectComment

Well I like to fish as well but not been for over a year, problems with shoulders and elbows. But I can feel the urge rising again. I fish for any thing that swims but have an unhealthy like for Carp Fishing. Living ten minutes from the coast is also handy as the fishing there is pretty good to.
I like building things. The current project is the first floor of our house. We gutted it and started again. Just the Bathroom to finish now. (still). Just building a cat run out on the terrace!!!! We have lost so many cats we have decided that the two we have now will only come outside in a cage! Its a big one though a meter wide 2,4m long and almost just as high.
The Garden also gets a bit of attention from time to time but the garden we have now is the worst I have ever had. We are currently going round the whole garden one bed at a time and totally renewing it. We have just done one bed that looks good now and will look even better in a few year. Two Japanese cherry trees, a couple of low fir's and six Japanese maples.
I also like to cook! No wonder I look forward to retirement, I might actually get time to do something.

I used to have an allotment, ride fast bikes and build & sail RC model boats
Now any spare time is taken up by my Grandson, building model kits, sleeping and procrastination :smile1:Comment

Used to do a lot of clay shooting but once i started my visa application to Oz i sold all my guns, snowboard as much as i can in the winter and surf as much as i can in the summer, got a sick FZR1000 exup in my uncles garage that i need to fix some time, but since the little 'un turned up and i'm halfway through building an extension i only get the odd hour in the man cave and am grateful for that.Comment

Two Kids keep me onmy toes, but to be truthful when I get a few moments, gardening, aviation shows such as those at Duxford, collecting aviation and miltary autographs and my all time favorite Rugby, love the Six Nations and follow the trails and tribulations of Ulster/Ireland!Comment

Motorbikes, my first automotive love and has been since I was old enough to hold a bike upright and ride it.
Photography, though last summer was rubbish and I just don't have the energy and time between the newly rediscovered modelling so haven't done much of that lately.
Loved the time I was trainging for my PPL, sadly i can't afford nor easily access this as I did a few years ago and miss it very much, you can't beat the thrill of that sudden jump and the landing gear stopping rumbling as you take to the airComment

If only I had time! When I'm not model building I do like to read, not just WWII. I still have an interest in music though I don't play much anymore and that sort of merges into my work anyway. Good to see another Rugby man (as the French say) above. I did play seriously many years ago and still follow the game as much as I can. My dad played for the Navy at Twickenham and I treasure his cap which I have inherited. I used to do a bit of fishing, growing up in West Africa in the '60s made it something that was easy for a numpty like me as the fish more or less caught themselves, but that has fallen by the wayside.
Cheers

Retired a long time ago & then decided I could not sit around doing nothing.
So took up making video films. Documentaries etc. This then progressed to filming weddings using four cameras to produce a decently edited final film. Spend about 40 hours on the editing. Also an optional extra is to produce an 8 minute film on the night while they are dining then show on a large screen just before the first dance.
Pays a little to afford making models. Unfortunately with the cash crisis wedding filming is at the bottom of the budget so this has dried from 18 films a couple of years back to 4 this year.
O well more time for model making & watching cricket (provided they are winning !).
Have a revolving turntable for filming just thought I could try filming my models should look good.
