You've got some gems there Peter. Perhaps we need some more classic group builds!

Great stuff. Are you doing her as the Doolittle raider or as at Midway Chris?

              Crikey Chris that’s huge

Over 4 foot long according to Scalemates, does it come with a clear deck like the original?

Looking forward to seeing you tackle this one.

              Geoff.

                  Hi all. My latest acquisition….
Redgrass games R9 painting light. Here it is in place on my painting bench.

Much better quality light than my old light, and it’s smaller and more adjustable (output 10 to 100%) at a touch of a button. The two light “arms” are adjustable to minimise shadows as well….

The old light has been moved to my “build” bench so in effect it’s a double upgrade…..

Here is the old one for comparison….

Not bad lighting from the old one, but it’s about ten years old now and I’ve noticed the light quality has deteriorated over the last six months. It is also not great when painting reds as the tubes aren’t great in the red spectrum. Not a cheap product, but it will get used most days so is more cost effective to me than buying half a dozen kits and leaving them in the cupboard for years until I get around to them…….

Just having a catch-up Tim. That looks really nice. Especially like the idea of having two adjustable arms - a very neat idea!

HI Ian yes about that length as i measured the box an it was 51 inches long but till i open it up to measure the acual hull i'll leave it at that an im not sure about makein it sail as all the 1/350 th scale carriers ive seen on the water were not best if the wind an waves got up so when i open it up i'll have a ponder of thought as ive got nr everything to make it sail by r/c but will see as id hate to see it sink lol
