Actually Bankers refer to themselves as Professional 


A Professional is some one who provides a service for which they have trained and been approved
and meets the standard of a professional body for that discipline. Lawyers Solicitors Doctors Vets etc.
In British law they are protected disciplines in that you have to have met the standard of a professional
body before you can use any of the above descriptions.
So the loose use in general of the term Professional is to say you can trust me. So now I am back on Bankers
