Oh my god, Laurie that news is such a shock! I can only add to the pile of well wishes and hope you have a speedy and full recovery.
I hope the medicines keep everything in check and you're back to your old self soon.
All the very, very best
Paul
Paul Laurie is fine it was me that had the heart attack
Well I'm back with a bit of modelling. I've picked up on the dauntless, I didn't realise that it's nearly a year ago that I made a post on the build. Anyway I will try and keep this one going although saying that the Airacobra is still sitting there waiting to be completed so maybe I will alternate between the two.
Sorry I missed this thread earlier Vaughan during my brief visits. Sorry to hear about your experience, but glad you are getting better and building again.
I thought I would give you guys an update on my progress. I still have continuing issues with my heart since the admission that I had last November. The MRI that I was expecting to have has not happened yet and doesn't look to happen before this spring. Only 4 are done each month ( and that includes Papworth) and despite being on the priority list I'm no further forward. My consultant has decided to proceed with another angiogram even though the MRI should have been done first. This is due to the fact that I continue to be out of breath when walking and struggle to climb stairs. I go into hospital( this will my fourth admission since my arrest in 2015) on the 8th of Feb and fingers crossed they will be able to sort things out. The Ju88 still sits on the bench awaiting my return to modelling. When I have the motivation and energy I'll try to finish it.
I hope all goes well mate, I know what you must be going through, I too had a heart attack last year, and my wife has suffered three heart attacks, and has been back and forth to the hospital for aniograms and mri tests, they have told her that she is suffering from a left bundle branch block, which means the left hand side of her heart is only working at 50%, they are talking of fitting a pace maker, but that is a different story, it sounds as if you definitely have had a lucky escape, and I wish you all the very best for a speedy recovery mate.
Hi Vaughan I hope that all goes well and you are soon back to full power.
