Missing Issues
Hi Guys,
This is a long shot, but i started building the Hachette Nitro truck and and am short some issues to complete it. Hachette tell me that the truck is no longer in production. Does anyone know where i could get my missing issues and associated parts? The issues I need are as follows 40, 41, 42, 43, 45, 50, 54, 55, 56, 57, 61, 67. (I also need the Radio Control and Fueling Kit),
Thanks in advance,
AinleComment

Hi all, I had my monster truck up and running and decided the other day that i am now going to put in the extra performance parts (that came in a extra 17 issues) I was enjoying putting it together only to find to my horror that I am missing ONE issue... issue 82 (that contains 1 clutch bellhousing with two pinion gears, 4 washers, 1 screw, 1 bearing race) I called Jacklin (the suppliers of these magazines in South Africa) and they say they got no stock or nothing now for almost 9 months. does anyone know where i could get these parts? or does someone have a copy of issue 82 that i could buy off of them? all help appreciatedComment

hi all OK, i have managed to find a place to buy the parts from and had them sent to me...I fetched them today I tried putting it together without the make, but the clutchbell ends up tight so obviously im putting the assembly together wrong. Does ANYONE have issue 82 that they can send to me in digital format? I.E. PDF/scans/pictures anything?Comment

Hi everyone - I hope it is OK to bump this thread, after a delay of something like 8 years{!), but I'm hoping some of the folks who helped me out all those years ago about the Hachette nitro monster truck model, which was issued in 87 installments in 2006 or so, are still here. I've already found Chris (Adzam) and Steve (Dynamite25) on the list of members - both of you were incredibly helpful, way back then, thanks!.
Anyway, I'm retired now (so have spare time) and incredibly belatedly have dusted off my truck, which is still only assembled up to issue 67. I've pulled a lot of it apart again, cleaned it, etc, and am ready to try to fix problems I know it has. I have all 87 issues (68-87 are still sealed in their bags).
First question is - one of the many black plastic turnbuckle ends is cracked. I don't know if I can glue it effectively. Are the turnbuckle ends parts that are unique to this model, or would replacements be available in general, at model shops? If they are unique to this model, where could I buy them, and/or other parts if I need them in future?
How are people's trucks going? Do you still use them, and have there been any major issues? I'm in Adelaide, South Australia. Anyone else from nearby on this forum?
Thanks very much!Comment

Hi Charles and welcome back. Been a while.
Could I suggest that you start a new build thread in the Civilian Vehicles Under construction. If you are going to have to strip it down and rebuild that would make an interesting build.
As you might have seen this thread has been as dead as a door knob for 8 years so Best to let it be and start again in the correct place.
Feel free to post as many photos in your posts as you will get a lot more interest and more help, when people can see what you're up to, or which bits are giving you problems.Comment

Thank you, Ian M! I apologise - I should have read more about forum rules before posting, so of course I will do as you suggest, later today.Comment
