What great weather for the time of year we are having,I do not mind the nip just stick the body warmer on,those calm mornings are just ideal for a few flights over the cabbage patch,a tiny space set below road level, canal one end, tall tress the other,I just climb out with the little electric Tiger Moth between the trees climbing up and over the road as the morning rush hour traffic gathers momentum, there is only one way out,and one way in,but with electric power you have that reliability knowing that the engine is not going to die on you at the crucial moment.

As she climbs into the strong morning sun the wings glint and you just wish that you were up there in that cockpit, time for a loop, slight nose down, build up a bit of speed and over she goes, then how about a rudder roll, yes it can be done, wing her around into what bit of wind there is,now a sharp bank downwind, pull up and whack on rudder, she rolls exiting a bit untidly, then it is time for a touch and go,between the tress for the run in again, watch the goal posts, and just kiss the turf and open up and away she goes again, what fun ! now it is back home for a well earned breakfast.

Barry that just makes me want to have a go at flying. So well described and my imagination ran amok with the thought of those commuters thinking " What on earth was that that flew past?" it makes a difference to the journey for them. And a real difference from my day too. I've probably mentioned my forthcoming tool and building supplies promotional days where we have all of our major suppliers bring along their demo vans and wares, invite hundreds of people along when we know only a good few dozen will appear looking for that extra special bargain!. Well it is getting to the point where the newspaper ad team are demanding the copy and images NOW!! So with that in mind in to work early to get stuck into it, in peace and quiet, when a rep comes into see me at five past seven! Bang goes my idea of a head start on the ads. sufice to say that after a very long day the ads were finished in time and sent to the 'papers for them to tweak their magic and get a proof back to me for Monday, we'll see if they are any better at sticking to their deadlines. After work took my daughter to her ballet class then back to cook the dinner, really needed it as no lunch today. Then once the childrewn were off to bed it was a case of sit in front of the computer and create a couple of ironmongery door schedules and quotations for our clients monday deadline. Pressure as I've said before "who needs it!" At least tomorrow the pressure'll be off and I can hopefully enjoy a relaxing day with the children while my wife goes to work. You never know I may even get the chance to do some modelling / construction once the weekly house maintenance is finished.

      Take care all

      cheers

      Jim

Dont clean your car if the council are around ?

This morning I decided to clean the car, this one is small enough to cope with and can easily be accomplished in the street with a few buckets of water and a good chamois, anyway after a good hour she gleamed,I finished off by cleaning the windows, vacuumed inside and went inside for a cuppa, then I heard a staccato buzzing noise coming from the street,it was a chap with a portable blaster machine,he was going along the paths blasting out grass, debris into the road, those plastic cover things they put around access points etc were flying everywhere, including the dirt and grass which was going over all of the cars, including mine.

I went outside and to my horror the car that had just been cleaned was literally covered in dirt, what a stupid careless idiot ! I think it is right when they say that council workers have little in the way of brains, the debris is still in the road awaiting collection as it blows everywhere, was it too much to ask to post something in the local rag about street cleaning so we could move our cars ? and that way the street could have been cleaned properly instead of in places between the vehicles ?

How can people be so careless.

And the debris is still strewn all over the street this morning, the blower was so powerful that it has lifted chunks of asphalt and left unsightly and dangerous holes,he did more damage than good.

She has asked me to write her Eulogy and has chosen Johnny Cash. As they lower the coffin we will play "Down, down, down into that burning ring of fire ..>" That should sound good!
MMMM.....are you sure about the "ring of fire" song? Sounds like he maybe going in the wrong direction for a good afterlife!

At my dads funeral the music we are having is Faith of the Heart which is the TV theme of Star trek enterprise. And the going out music is Samba pa ti.

Faith of the heart song was also my dads and ingrids first dance song. Samba pa ti because me and dad liked the song and we leanered it together on the guitar.
