I already have the HMS Montgomery boxing - but this has been started, the hull has been waterlined ( very nicely done, as well ). It's a Mirage Hobby model, reboxed, it seems odd when the postage cost more than the model!, but it was a cheeky offer! ( I'm toying with a seascape destroyer vs U-boat )

Yes, I'm watching one like that on eBay, model just over £6, postage over £10 (from Germany though) - still cheaper than one from UK - £15+ postage £3+(did try an offer on the UK one, but was declined)

Yeah,I had this kit a few years back, and must say it was kinda cool!..... Simple build(Not many bits at all!),and nicely moulded too.....
        I think you`re correct Gerry,it`d suit John`s figures very well:thumb2:,

It's ATA pilot Maureen Dunlop and I had always hoped to sculpt something based on her, but Sang On Lee has beaten me to it in spectacular fashion!.
I don't often buy figures just for the painting as I mostly enjoy the modelmaking and converting, but this was just too good to pass up.
She will join my growing collection of WWII pilots in 1-32 scale.
It will be my first ever digital sculpt and my first attempt at painting a lady
That looks quite the challenge Neil.........
          ..... Not just a Figure:flushed:...... but a Female one at that:dizzy:!!
I shall certainly look out for this one!!

I spent quite a while looking for some decent Vietnam era Tank figures, and finally came up with these.I must admit, now that they`ve arrived and i hold them in my hot little mits....... I`m VERY pleased indeed, they`re superbly detailed and at about £20 all in,pretty reasonable IMHO,
Just gotta put `em together and paint em now........ Talking of which........

Having just (almost) finished a MiniArt M3, I thought my next one would be the Takom version that should be a lot less fiddly. However, for a model I want to build, that gave me the choice between taking a Takom M3 and converting it to an M3A5, or building an M3A5 directly from the MiniArt kit. I settled on the latter, but bought an AFV Club set of tracks with it because even though those aren’t great to assemble either, they’re much less of a hassle than the tracks that come with the kit.

Not overly exciting - but will let me start on the 'landscaping' - cheapy poster paint from 'The Works' (only because I was at the dentist, which is next door!) Also got a litre of PVAClick image for larger version
