At less than £12 delivered, all I can say is WOW! Although small ( 135mm ) very detailed mouldings, carefully packaged, good instructions - complete PE set. Injection moulded, not resin. To say I'm impressed is an understatement! Flyhawk do a range of 1/700 warships ( WWI & WWII ). They aren't cheap ( I got this at a sale price! ), but are worth a look if you're feeling flush! ( HMS Agincourt in 1/700 with it's 7 X 12" turrets is the one that catches my eye! )

ps I'm so impressed, I'll do an in-box review later today!

I'm starting to worry about you Dave.....Looks like you want to be an Admiral and start your own navy here!!! I'm scared...............

Like I posted yesterday, this was the last grab from evilbay. On the wish list a long time and a beauty of a kit. I think our friend Andrea from Italy will definitely agree too,

I just love all those parts!!! As a final note, the steel wheeled Panther was produced by M.A.N. in Nürnberg, in September '44 and there were about 25 built. Known chassis #'s were 121032 - 121055. These road wheels were the same type used by the Tiger I late and Tiger II's. Now please, if you build one of the steel wheeled Panther kits, don't even think about putting Zimmerit on it..................................Thank you..............

It’s only 64 pages, you can read that quickly enough. Though you’ll hopefully also spend a lot of time looking at the photos

Oh, and I was a published author long ago already … I used to write for American roleplaying game companies, mainly FASA and FanPro LLC.

I fully agree, Allen. For the moment it proudly sits on the shelf, but it's a very nice model.
Being my first full interior model I also bought the book "Panthers Modelling the TAKOM Family" published by Ammo by Mig Jimenez; very inspiring.

So a few arrivals in the last week or so but nothing major.

The book was bought on a whim after recommendation from the Curator of the Tank Museum and the paints are for diorama's and the like - the Hobby Craft paint was particular cheap at only £1 per bottle (I know it's of an infinitely better quality and no one in their right mind would use it for large volume dioramas but by comparison the equivalent amount of Vallejo Model Color would cost approx £43......)

The wet and dry sanding sheets were inspired by Dale and Comrade Race from an exchange at the end of August and have been bought to make DIY sanding board using coffee stirrer sticks and the like - 14 sheets from 150 grit up to 3000.....if not a limitless supply then not far off and only £4 for the lot.

                            ATB

                            Andrew

$1.95 suggested retail price for a book like that? How old is it, then?
