It's a 1978 reprint of a 1960 original book. Apparently it's a specially "illustrated version", which I think is code for it has some pen illustrations rather than nothing

Had a quick peek in the box and it looks to be great quality if a trifle fiddly to build. Not going for the military version but something commercial.

Honestly didn't want to add to my stash but having just watched Sink the Bismark again I had to get the Hood.
Have been looking at it for a while and as soon as there was a sale I grabbed it.
Much better than the Airfix kit I built when I was still a wee kid.


Molding and detail very crisp and only needs PE railing and rigging to finish it off.
