Tamiya have done a KV-2 before, in the 1970s or so. According to a post on Missing-Lynx, though, this is an entirely new kit and so should be much better than that old one. The main question is how it stacks up against the Trumpeter ones, I’d say.Comment

Thank you for that, I didn't check . The Trumpeter ones are ok, but there are discrepancies It appears that every manufacturer has omitted certain things, tracks wrong, bolts in the wrong place as they have all failed to capture differences between the different production variants. There are others Zvezda as well . Of course it all depends on how correct you want to be. The after market kit are a minefield to get right.Comment

Just saw this on Scalemates:
I notice they’ve modelled him with the wrong limb against the ball, though.Comment

His second goal in that game was superb…..and his first was due to the keeper not getting to the ball….he’s a short arse, but he outjumped the keeper, who can use his arms and was at least six inches taller than maradonna. The picture doesn’t actually look that much like him though, the legs are too long. He was much squatter in appearance!Comment

Good god whats next a Kevin keegan with a full on perm ,where on earth in the market does this fit in ,I suppose some Argentinian fellows might want one but please official product ?Comment

Makes a change from “yet another” SS poster boy Dave, and the “official product” moniker would be because AK have licensed the image rights from Maradonna’s estate. I won’t be getting one, but some figure painters will welcome a different type of subjectComment

I was wondering about that too, but I noticed that on Scalemates, it’s in a category Soccer players. If you look at what else is in there, though, it’s nearly all generic figures, other than two sets of 2004 English players from Airfix.Comment

Judging by the sprues, this must be pretty close to being released. ( Luftwaffe 1946 never has appealed to me )

never sure if they should be called science fiction, or fantasy! either way they never existed - except in the minds of a few designers, who had no concept of the actual state of affairs...........
