    Here it is
Download this stock image: An old British Bloodhound surface to air missile at the Wells Reclamation yard in Wells Somerset, England - EK8131 from Alamy's library of millions of high resolution stock photos, illustrations and vectors.

Its at Wells reclamation though, I got the location wrong….

Here’s some of mine. I plan on building these. The Thunderbolt is in complete but I plan on getting parts for it and building it. I hope some day make a Diorama with the fuel set. There are so many of these are my favorites I just can’t pick one.

Always remember the T bird and the Spit in poly bags. Boxes must be a US thing….
The Hudson looks really old though….
Great stuff, can’t wait to see them built!

I just wish Airfix would do (all) the RAF ground support sets in 1/48 scale.
          Off topic sorry.

It must be I’ve seen some in bags in the USA at one of my favorite hobby shops that’s now is close he always carried vintage old kits that’s where I got a lot of my stuff from. I thought about doing a vintage Airfix 1/76–1/72 Group Build but I don’t know if it would get off the ground or not a lot of people are just not interested in building these old kits like I am

Here’s a pic of the Airfix Corsair built with the box. This was a very fun building. I hand painted the White and Medium Blue model.

Haven't the boxes after all these years, but two of my favourites were the walrus kit and the moon landing kit - both were done back in the day.

I find this a very interesting thread so far, but I can't participate because I have never actually built an Airfix kit in my life......they always seemed a little too big and out of scale!! :tongue-out3::tongue-out2::tongue-out: I do like the box art though, a lot of it reminds me of my set of 1953 Topps "Wings" Trading cards........keep 'em coming guys.

This thread has prompted me to go into the loft on a search into the remnants of the teenage stash that has followed me for the past forty years...

One of my favourites was the TSR2 and the limited edition print painted by Dave Jones:

He also did the Nimrod, Challenger, RNLI Lifeboat and the 1/400 scale ships amongst others:

Talking of Dave Jones, I met him for the first time at Telford in 2007 and he wanted to donate a prize to the ATF's Charity raffle being held at the time. The winner got to choose the subject and then Dave painted it. I didn't take part in the raffle just in case I won! However, Dave said that seeing as I would be missing out, he would paint a picture of my choice for me anyway. I chose HMS Antrim sailing up the Elbe in September 1979 when I was serving on her. He did the painting, framed it and sent it to me:

I am still overwhelmed by his gesture and we remain in touch still, even though he no longer paints for Airfix.

That was VERY generous of him.
