Afternoon all and a happy new year.

So technically these were 2021 arrivals.

Nothing special and took a punt on the drill and clamp set from Lidl after someone on here picked one up - and very nice it is too for only £8.

Apologies - thought it was a fiver. Still cracking value!

No need to apologise, as your say cracking value. I'd been looking at getting one of the little pin vices and they're at least a fiver....

        Thanks again.

Unusual - I looked at the 1/72 version, but then realised that there was quite a bit of rigging, so 1/48!

Hmm. I dunno , John. Seems like they could have at least included a flamethrower team for ya.

Went to my parent's for Christmas and I couldn't help to pay a visit to the old Amati Model shop. It's charm is still alive. I felt the same thrilling sensation I had when as I child I stepped into what I considered an almost sacred placed, sensation I think is shared by many customers: as far as I remember I never heard a sound or a word that wasn't more than a whisper in those rooms. The only change it's the shop name. It's changed from Amati to AMT since Amati split its retail activity from the production, the latter still under the well known trade mark Amati.
But I'm digressing from the thread topic: as every modeller exiting a model shop, my hands were not empty :flushed:

Useless to add that my intent was to get some paints (the 4 Tamiya) and thinners but the Spit was there, the only 1:72 on the shelf, with it's inviting price tag... how could I ever leave the shop without it, generating a lot of bitter regrets that would have harrowed my poor soul for the rest of my life...:loudly-crying: or, in other, more famous, words I resist everything but temptation.:tongue-out3:
