I've just bought my first proper one recently to Mick. But before that I made a DIY one as a test from an old shallow rectangular lunchbox, done kitchen sponge and some greaseproof paper. It took a bit of getting used to but it worked surprisingly well and keep the paint useable for about a week!Comment

i think i was quite restrained in Telford;
just 2 kits:
an addition to my universal carrier project:
I have the resicast barv kit on order, this is to be the doner kit for it;
A new cutting mat (not bad for £1) and sone tin sheet; for belts. Straps etc:
Some paint, not tried the I M paints before so they will be interesting:
any trip to the UK means i can visit other shops we don't have in guernsey, such as hobbycraft where i found ths which is ideal for 1/285 scale trees:
And in a trip to Dunelm I cane across this neat little light with a 3x magnifier, £12:
it folds down really small, and is quite bright.
apart from a few paintbrushes, that it the lot from my trip to the UK - considering all of the temptation I displayed a lot of self-control!!

Not to try and put a damper on that, but the Resicast BARV instructions say it’s intended for the Tasca (=Asuka) M4A2 kit. I suppose you can make it fit the Dragon one, but it’ll probably be more work. Or do you specifically want to build a BARV on a Fisher-built M4A2 hull, which is what the Dragon kit represents?Comment

unfortunately I have been unsuccessful in finding a Task kit - nothing in the internet and none of the stalls at Telford had one , o I opted for the nearest kit I could find. I expect it will be more work but more work = more fun. At least that's what I will try to convince myself!

Postie dropped this off.......................
Sadly, I had to resort to retail prices - these KP models don't appear as auctions very often.
My local Evri courier dropped this off - an Ebay auction win - the box is toast, but the contents are sealed!
If the box has been good, this would have been at a collectors price, but I got this for just over £19 delivered - that is why you see empty kit boxes fetching good prices, to complete a collectors' model! - which is why I search Ebay for 'damaged box', or 'no box', 'started' - items which don't attract collectors
