Thanks Andy, saw a guy building several of them up for commissions and quite liked them. I’ll probably be better at this than the gameComment

No kits, no kits, no kits and I'm sticking to it!!! Got this instead to help out in my next scratchybuild,
Good stuff, even though I have almost all of the W.4 seaplane pics. The 1/48 drawings and the original factory specs diagram was what I was after the most. Let the butchery begin!!!...

As a child of the space race and building a Saturn 5 rocket out of yoghurt tubs etc. when I was 12 I thought I would give these a go. The lunar lander was an Ebay bargain at £17.75 delivered and the space shuttle £7.65 at Hobbycraft after member discount so not too much spent if I fail to make a decent effort of them.
Does anyone know if the supplied paints in Revell and Airfix kits is acrylic based and can be airbrushed after thinning with MLT?
TIA
Stefan

Those moon landers are quite big. I saw a real one once, and everything together, it’s the height of a house with an upstairs and a pitched roof …Comment

Yes, we saw one at Kennedy Space Centre in Florida and there was also a mock up of the interior of the ascent stage which was really cramped for the crew. The guide there told us that in order to reach the weight constraints the walls of the ascent module were the thickness of 3 pieces of copier paper!!Comment

Not been around for a while with my dad being ill but been thinking about various different projects.
Picked this up for one of them, stick some masking material down then use the etched shapes to guide your knife for cutting out camo blobs. The reverse has bigger blobs.
Have another one for digital camo on the way.
