Bought one the other day to replace my old retired Bosch electric... Charged up the battery, clipped it onto the drill, put the masonry drill bit (also new) in and set to trying to drill a hole into a concrete wall topping - half an hour later 3/4 of an inch into the topping and a flat battery - gave up and got the old Bosch out. B&D drill now passed onto a neighbour....Comment

Well,I have built 2 aircraft since my last purchase,so am kinda justified in laying out for another?!!!
I'm currently building a Dauntless, which despite being a Revell kit,is apparently a re boxing of the Accurate Miniatures, I've been really impressed with that one,so looked further for their other stuff.
I've wanted a Mitchell for years,(liked them since a boy,but usually,in 1/48 they were far too expensive),but whaddyaknow... Academy did a re box of one.... :money-face:... Read some reviews which gave a glowing report,SO....
Rather chuffed I am!! :thumb2:Comment

Retired two Bosch, one small, and one large, about four years ago, mostly because the chargers regularly died on them. Got a good deal on a Dewalt with two batteries from Screwfix and it’s absolutely amazing. Drills through anything, and is about half the weight and size. Last ages on one charge as well. Moral I’d, save up a bit more and buy Dewalt, it’s simply superb in comparison.
Used to be a great company until accountants got involved in the costs, so quality not what it used to be.
A lot of trade users went for MILWAUKEE esp when they updated the battery to a much higher rating .Comment

If I keep going like this I'm in danger of building up a stash rather than my usual buy one, build it, buy another :smiling5:
Another of the mid sized tamiya kits as I find them just right for a quick, relaxed build.
A big bottle to replace the best acrylic varnish I've tried yet, and something to hopefully assist with my panel line handicap.
Despite trying every medium I can think of I'm still never happy with my efforts so will give this snake oil a go.
Brush rinsing doodad. Dispenses clean water each time.
Probably better than my sludge filled jam jar.Comment
