£10.50 delivered! I've been promised a Dapol ' Evening Star ', from a model railway buff - in return for a few lengths of printed OO gauge display track - which will close my locomotive acquisitions nicely!

                Many happy returns young Neil!

I've been dragged around the charity shops again today. I don't need any more Airfix starter sets, but it would have been rude to pass this up:

I'm also afflicted with this over-politeness gene that causes me to buy kits! Have you found a treatment yet?

The casualties on stretchers is quite a nice set, I bought it to stick a couple of them in the LCA I’m building. The stretchers themselves are some of the best I’ve seen, and the figures are convincing too — even if you may want to replace their heads with resin ones Beware that they don’t necessarily fit onto the stretcher without a little cutting and filing, though.

This eBay purchase was done on a whim. It is either a great bargain or a waste of money. I'll let you know when I have opened the box and had a good look. It was advertised as started with two missing pieces. Looked at the instructions online and the parts look easy to scratch. If it is rubbish then I have donated £26.05 to the Hospice Charity who was the seller. These kits are rare and sell for big money now, well over £150.

I'm having so many issues so much fun with the 1/48 bf 110 that I decided to get the 1/72 as well lol

I've heard lots of good things about the new Airfix kits but the only way to know is to build one. I fancied this subject so will give it a whirl:

And the new AK wet palette. Roughly twice the size of my old one (that I find too small) and a handy dandy dry palette in the lid.

I've also fallen for the hype and am trying some GSW products. I use automotive UV putty a lot at work but have found it too hard to sand for models. Almost instant curing with no sinkage, should be helpful if it sands okay.

And a few other bits to make the shipping from Spain worthwhile.

Acquired a Kitmaste/Airfix/Dapol 'Evening Star' from a local model railway buff - he apologised that there weren't any instructions & it was in a Tesco freezer bag. Surprised when I told him I'd already downloaded the Airfix instructions, not aware of Scalemates!
Cost to me was 3 lengths of 3D printed display rails, one in 'OO', one in 'N' & one in' Z' The internet provided me with the dimensions & I was able to scale down my existing 'OO' model ( the 'Z' gauge is tiny, 6.5mm between rails )
