Surgery is scheduled - now completed

Just to let you all know that I have been notified that my AAA (abdominal aortic aneurism) repair operation will take place on Thursday 20th July, which is a lot quicker than I expected.
While I am excited to get it over and done with, I am a little nervous at the same time, as it's a pretty big operation, entailing open surgery.
I will be in hospital for a week it seems, if all goes according to plan, and I'll let you all know how it went when I get home again.
Recuperation will take a while, probably a month or two.

        Good luck.
I have to visit the thoracic dept next month to investigate an aortic enlargement.

Cheers Pete, strangely my surgeons name it Pete, I'm sure that's a good omen.
            Take care all.

Good news in a way Garry, not having to wait a long time. I hope all goes well and you have a speedy recovery, and back at the bench soon.
                  Best wishes.
