For the last 11 years I've been investigating complaints for an international manufacturing company (owned by Johnson & Johnson). Before that I worked in a sports shop, was a bar/kitchen supervisor and worked on building sites insulating pipes and such.
Quite settled doing what I'm doing now, keeps me busy, pays the bills and leaves me a wee bit for kits each month.Comment

wow, you're all techies, I've been a health care assistant for the last 20 years, looking after elderly people in a nursing home.
I first built aircraft kits when I was a kid and had asperations to join the RAF, but a stomach ulcer put paid to that dream.
Anyway after my heart attack I needed something to keep my self from going crazy from bordom, and modelling came to my rescue.
Not an exciting life but the people I meet more than make up for it.

It's good to see such a wide range of jobs and to some extent ages. Maybe there is a future for the hobby after all. My better half "does" PR and Marketing and informs me that this thread would certainly have her fellow Marketeers, who love to pigeon hole people, scratching their heads which can only be a good thing!
Cheers
Steve (Now in Glasgow, anyone want to buy a football club?)

I had the pleasure of working for the Chemical company Albright & Wilson for nearly 20 years, they treated you more like family than an employee. Made redundant after being sold first to the French and then the Dutch.
I now work for the local council as a Voids repairs programmer arranging the refurbishment of empty properties.Comment
