    Northern Lights

We had an amazing display last night. Here are only two of the ones we took. These were early on in the display. Sat outside for about 2 hours watching them

    Very nice Al'
I live near Chester. There was a terrific display in our area last night.

This morning, our nearest neighbour sent my missus some superb and clear photos of the feenomeenum.

Unfortunately, my wife and I were both fast asleep and missed the whole show!

It's G3 level tonight. Last night was the most powerful, G5. So you should be able to see them. But you'll get better colours from a camera.

You can download the Aurora watch app and it tells you when the best times are to see them.

Mother Nature's own light show! Humbling isn't it?

We deployed to Northern Flank annually in one unit I was in - we also had some fantastic displays (and not only in Troms!). I've also been fortunate to see similar in Australia (Borealis Australis - can't remember the correct scientific name!? :sad-face: ). Nature is magnificent and very humbling.

We haven't seen the Northern Lights here in Shropshire but when we lived in Scotland we were quite often treated to some stunning displays.

They were out again last night but not as strong. Still a slight glow of greens and reds. The wonder of nature never fails to amaze me.
