YES! I can actually post in this thread again. My wife has a new job which has freed up my account to be used by me again to buy whatever i want to lol. So......

Got these two kits off ebay

This was to replace the JV44 kit i was building in the FW190 GB before it got trashed by the leaking pipe in the roof. Well chuffed

And this is to go along with the same kit i already have but the cockpit control panels were missing. So i'll get a resin cockpit for that at some point

Nice looking kits going into stashes here. Richy, what are those Trumpy figures like? I have a USMC Amtrack, the AAVP-7A1 w/EAAK from the forum shop and I need some figures to go with it to show scale, it is huge. I have the MasterBox Iraq troops but is the crew figures I am most interested in, the foot sloggers can join the MB ones.

Hi Ian , not sure how old this kit is but the sprues that hold the model parts are quite thick and heavy and their is a little flash here and there ,thats the downside on the upside the detail is nice with seperate hands and boots heads etc , all webbing weapons are seperate , you also get 2 sheets of decals one desert and one camo green to put on the uniforms if wanted ( I rather paint them myself tbh ) overall not a bad kit mate but if I wanted just the AV figures I would get resin ones which would not cost much more than the £13 paid for these

        hope this has helped

Well having been good for so long, I had a mad moment in preparation for the coming Group Build.

I could not choose between the leopard and Phz2000 so I got them both!

The Faun and Phz2000 will be going in the GB. The Leopard will be waiting for some brass, and very possibly the return of my sanity after building those tracks for the PhZ!!

Just arrived from Cyber- Hobby and Ebay the following two kits. The Opel Blitz came from the aforementioned company and the Tiger 1 came from a seller in China called sell_model on Ebay. The cost including shipping was less than the kit would be to buy alone here in the UK.

The Opel Blitz has four bags of Celophane wrapped plastic markings for 6 vehicles all Eastern Front, two unknown units and 4 SS Panzer Grenadier Regiments if my memory serves me correctly, it is a few days since I looked at the destructions. It also has phot etched parts and laser cut masks for the clear plastic included.

The Tiger 1 E has bags of Celophane, 9 or 10 if I remember rightly. Photo etched parts and even a small spring to attach to the barrel inside the mantel to give the recoil effect. It has the DS tracks which look very well molded and markings for 6 tanks Four Normandy, One Italy and one Poland, these are SS Tanks other than the Italy front one, but I may be wrong, I will have to check :emo6:. This is the zimmerit molded version and this looks extremely well proportioned to the vehicle body and parts where it is shown. Of course with the after market decals you can always build the mount of the ubiquitous Michael Wittmann with either 200 or 007(his last mount).

            For your perusal fellow modellers!

            Andy

i'm gonna have a wee break from the military but my interest of that time means i'm keeping to the 1930's 1940's and so my next bit of fun is going to be a matchbox packard victoria. the kit seems to be colour co-ordinated to the cover model but i'm going to use a bit of creative license make it the same as a real styling photo of some lucky guys car.

Just arrived the other day, like Scott I don't normally build modern stuff, but read an article in Scale MM International and thought I would have a crack at this

Like the look of this and may try and find some anti heat armour that the Canadians have slung around their Leopard 2's

Nice one Scott, I can see a bit of an argument between a 6x6 and a 15cwt: Hey! back-up! No you back up....."

I have the Leopard in my stash. going to wait a bit with that one and get some brass for it. Have a look at Eduard web site Andy, I think they do the Armour you are talking of.
