I was wrong. The canadian navy does not use the type 23 as the mainstay of the atlantic or pacific 'fleets'.Originally posted by \Type 23 Frigate, Montrose, Trumpeter. I plan this soonish. Please tell me what you think of it.
Having said that, I got my early birthday present today, in the form of the 1:32 scale Me-262 A1a, by trumpeter. I won't be starting this bad boy for a little while as I badly need to get caught up on the projects that I have sitting at idle...(but it will be ready when i am!)Comment

Might be a while yet, but I will be doing them.
We have had enough of the "big city" and have started to look for a house in the countryside..... I can see this year being a challenge.....

I held out as long as I could but when faced with the box right there in front of me in Ideal Models in Toulouse I capitulated quicker than the French Army - oui mes amies, I bought the Kittyhawk 1/48 Jaguar. At €55 it compares ok with UK prices and I got an Eduard display base of a Japanese 1/48 carrier deck section of an aircraft lift, ideal for my Japanese 1/48 Torpedo bomber for the GB thing next year.

For the last 10 years or so I've kept it to around 20.But this year it's suddenly increased to about 50.I blame my work colleague Bernie passing away,as I ended up buying 30 kits from his widow!.Originally posted by \Are you prepared to divulge how many kits you have in your stash now?Comment

On a trip to Plymouth today I found a Hobbycraft shop and had a look and came out with these beauties

The little spit is for a dio I have planed and the vampire is the first of my Cold War jets collection
Both kits are new tool , well I know the vampire is due to me remembering this from when I was a wee boy and that kit was never as detailed as this.
Also the wife bought me tamiyas 1/48 mosquito for chrism I but she wouldn't let me take a photo of that bag humbug

Are you going to finish it in the RNZAF markings Alan? It is a nice kit, I have the generic one with RAF and modern day preservation schemes but I will build mine as a NZ version. I have lots of reference links to photos if you need any when the time comes.Comment

I am quite impressed with the detail for a small kit mine wasn't that detailed when I built it over thirty years ago
