Like the look of your destroyer and even better with the additional detail parts you get in this version.

Opened the box and loads of brass, may have bitten of me than I can chew, but will make a nice change from just building tanks. Think I will still add the eduard rails as don' fancy stringing up all those stanchons 4

Hi everyone here's my purchases from scalemodel world at Telford.Nice to meet up with the lads in the cafe/bar as always with some new faces in attendance. I have to say my time around the show wasn't a really pleasant one. After queuing over an hour to get in it was hard to get to things off interest due to the high volume of people trying to do the same.Bit of a free for all really and probably my own fault as I normally go on a Sunday which is a more pleasurable experience. So if I do go next year I'll makesure I'm a IPMS member or at the very least pre booked my tickets. If I'm honest I enjoyed Cosford much better.
Anyways after fighting my way around I left with these.
Cheers John

Is that really a 1/6th model of the jeep.
It was just as bad getting in if you were a member. I dropped my models off on Friday and had to use the rear entrance, so was given a wristband to get through the halls, so far so good. Arrived at 8:30 Saturday and queue was already out the doors and up the steps. Security said if you had a wristband to go the rear entrance, walked to the rear to be told were not allowed in that way as it was shut. So went back to the front and had to rejoin the queue at the back. 20 mins later , after previously asking if i had to queue with a wristband, was told could go straight in.

So believe me I feel your pain.

It's seemed particularly bad this year getting into the show Steve. I've attended for the last five years and never experienced this before. Someone needed a kick up the jackse a rocket or both. There were only three tables selling tickets at the end of the queue with no information on pricing for entry which would have given punters the chance to sort the correct monies which would have speeded things up. I'll be sticking to my usual Sunday visits in future. Pickings will be slimmer but at least I'll enjoy it more.
And yes it is a 1:6 willys jeep which is as you say rather large. I also saw the sas version one for next year maybe.

Here is my haul from Telford, just the one kit, and a very expensive chisel.... I kept on being drawn to the Zoukei-Mura stall, everything on it reeked of quality from the kits to the tools and their written material. I dont have a chisel and I could have got one a lot cheaper but I gave in to temptation and treated myself, £32 no less (it dont sound much if you say it quickly....)

But then I did resist the temptation of one of the HK Models 1/32 B17 F for £280 and not to mention the huge Hobby-Boss 1/18 scale FW190.... I kept coming across those and kept fondling the boxes... So having resisted that tempation I can consider myself to have saved £280......

I had to buy another Amusing Hobby E-100 35A015 to get the bonus E-5 35B001 to complete my lineup... bummer...
If someone is shopping for the above said E-100 then I've got one for sale - without the E-5

It was very expensive too - but the E-5 is rare and there's only a few still around so I saw no other alternative since nobody wanted to sell theirs.
Project Entwicklungsfahrzeug Sammlung is now complete with regards to kits and I've got A LOT to build next year!!!

Here's the lineup for the project:

E-5:
Amusing Hobby 35B001

E-10:
Trumpeter 00385

E-25:
Trumpeter 00383

E-50:
Trumpeter 01536

E-75:
Trumpeter 01538

E-100:
Amusing Hobby 35A015
Amusing Hobby 35A016
Amusing Hobby 35A017
Trumpeter 00384

There is also one E-50 Flakpanzer and a E-75 Flakpanzer available but I might add them later... (or I will, but not until these ones are built or they are on a sale)

It's one bonkers project for sure and one even more bonkers diorama to be built!

My hobby account has suffered somewhat filling the stash for my Project Entwicklungsfahrzeug Sammlung, but Christmas is a different thing so I've treated myself with a model I've been looking at almost every day since the summer and it's the mighty Hobby Boss Dora 1/72 überbonkers railway gun!

The price was very good considering the hours you get from such a build but it requires some alterations in the until now "clean" living room...
It's a lot easier finding spots for large scale models when single - that's for sure!

I'm going to build it as the Schwerer Gustav instead of Nora, but that's just in the details. I couldn't afford the 1/35 scale version - nor find a place for it, but in 1/72 scale it fits all parameters and it allows for future expansion with Nazi armoured trains.

So Merry Christmas to Me, from Me!

I have just got one of these. It is a massive kit. Looks like it has got lots of detail. Should be a nice build.
