How long does PVA glue take to go off (in normal conditions)? I used some last night to put some weights into my TA-154 and it's still not solid. Any ideas guys?

It can take an age an is dependant on external conditions AS WELL as how big a blob you've got, i'm guessing you've got a fair glob of it around the weights?

A faster alternative is Epoxy, you can get it in 5 min, 30 min or longer and that's a chemical reaction with the hardener so it matters not if it's a dribble or a blob

It's a waiting game unfortunately, just keep an eye unti it starts to become translucent. The thicker the blob, the longer the drying timeComment

As has been said, it all depends on how thick the application is. A very thick blob could take a few days but don't worry, uit will eventually set. The trouble is that PVA dries so is dependent on the ratio of surface area to volume, whereas epoxy is a chemical reaction and is therefore independent of surface area.Comment
