    PVA Glue

How long does PVA glue take to go off (in normal conditions)? I used some last night to put some weights into my TA-154 and it's still not solid. Any ideas guys?

It can take an age an is dependant on external conditions AS WELL as how big a blob you've got, i'm guessing you've got a fair glob of it around the weights?

A faster alternative is Epoxy, you can get it in 5 min, 30 min or longer and that's a chemical reaction with the hardener so it matters not if it's a dribble or a blob

I used to have some Araldite and that would have been great but all i have left is the PVA. It's a decent size blob and is in a warm room. I'll leave it another 48 hours before i try it again

It's a waiting game unfortunately, just keep an eye unti it starts to become translucent. The thicker the blob, the longer the drying time

I always use PVA glue in my dios and it goes off in around overnight.

As has been said, it all depends on how thick the application is. A very thick blob could take a few days but don't worry, uit will eventually set. The trouble is that PVA dries so is dependent on the ratio of surface area to volume, whereas epoxy is a chemical reaction and is therefore independent of surface area.

I usually mold a bit of Blu-Tac into the nose, add shot and seal with a bit more Blu-Tac. I added twenty grams to the last Me262 I built and it's still on its wheels so I guess the weight is still in place !

              Never does dry though lol.

              Cheers
