I think this is all getting a bit out of proportion now and we should sit back and objectively look at what has happened. I agree that chit chat can get in the way of peoples serious build threads, who may feel aggrieved that their serious posts are being watered down. I also agree that chit chat is part of this forum and is what helps to keep this the friendliest place I have ever been a part of and what gives us a warm and inviting atmosphere whereby members can feel free to say what they want. In this case some members, unknown to me have voiced concerns that sometimes the chit chat can get a bit out of hand, fair point. I don't think this was telling tales out of school, I don't think it was underhanded and I don't think it indicates any hidden agenda. I think it was simply raising a concern and asking the moderator in question to say something.I firmly believe that nothing is broken here, nothing needs to be changed and nothing of an underhanded nature is going on. I will, for one, not sit back and see this forum degenerate into the childish arguing that so often brings other forums down. I hope we can simply move on from this in the knowledge that things could have perhaps been done slightly more tactfully and with a bit more care and understanding and I think the moderating team have a few things to learn from this issue. I hope meanwhile everyone will continue to see this forum in the positive manner that I have enjoyed being a part of for many years and accept that while mistakes may have been made there has been no malicious intent.
