I just wanted to chip in & say their is another option Monica. You could try the zimmerit sheets from Tamiya - they do one for the Porsche turret KT.
Over here it retails for about £9, and while it's not as nice as something similar from ATAK, it's a lot easier than doing it yourself.

yes I did see that Patrick, and even cheaper than buying the tools,
I will get a tool of some type and have a lot of practice with it,before starting on a tank,

Welcome aboard Bob! There's plenty of time & I've been hoping someone would get the Meng kit. It'll be interesting to compare it to the more familiar kits.

It certainly looks good on paper, not sure if mine will come with the metal barrel as I believe only the first batch had those.

I'm looking forward to trying my hand at German camo, and (a little bit) of rusting.

Hopefully with John's outstanding service it should be here tomorrow.

Most likely yes (although I will probably make my own tow cables).

This will only be my 5th model built (3rd AFV) so I am still learning the techniques.

I've got a KT build in progress on here http://www.scale-models.co.uk/thread...-2-in-1.28135/ will this link suffice or do you need the whole thing copied across?

We'll need a moderator to move it Bryan. If Ian or Polux don't see this in a couple of days, I'll ask them.

You'll be able to carry on as before without any problems.

Looking at some kits to think of as I think I need to get my tanks up to speed. So would like to see if I can do a king tiger ???
King tigers do they all have to have that horrid Zimmerit on them ( scary cat ) and don't do well with Pe frets and or milli put home made Zimmerit that's a far scary thought
Would be nice to build one and cover it in snow??

                              Regards

                              Robert

The Meng kit I'm building has the option to do with or without Zim, I'm doing a late war version that doesn't have it.

I believe the Dragon kit comes with pre-moulded Zim panels that can be added if you want to go that route.
