    Steve H, 1:35 Italeri Stug B, Bob's Stug GB

    Morning
The start date has finally arrived!
All the photos of the sprues and a bit of a shock?
It's been 4 years since I last opened the box, and it was a bit of a ?????
I had swoped out some wheels for my Stug A version II,!!!
Oops, but there is Eduard PE and a turned barrel, even if it's only a tip!

I have decided to drill and open up the guide horns as they are solid,
I know it's a real labour of #####dity, but as I am sat at home off sick waiting until Thursday to have another new knee surgically inserted, what else is there to do?
I only need 1/2 doing anyway, as I have a ""plan"".
The construction is very basic, but so was the real thing. I'll start to plod along and see how far I get as there is Xmas trimming the house and packing for my 3 day hospital stay.
    Have fun everyone
    Regards

Is it a cunning plan Steven?? So cunning that you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel?? :smiling5:

Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us all. Good luck

            Thanks Andrew

Morning Peter, have a good day painting with the clear bright light.

Its so cunning Steve it has a Ph D from Oxbridge in Cunning (There are other universities of cunning available)

I shall be cutting drilling and working from the tub up as per a standard Tank build, inbetween making paper chains, watching Christmas films and eating mince pies, yum yum

            Regards

            Steve H

I might get something done before Thursday, as everyone has noticed, this tub and undercarriage goes together rather quickly.

Yes the sprues look rather familiar Steve

I even recognise the bits where you have snipped out the original wheels

My parts are not quite as crisp though all these years down the line

In the end it looks like a StuG :smiling3:

                              Morning all

I am gradually getting mobile and am desperate to get some plastic cut and glue sniffed!

My knee wont bend enough to sit comfortably under my desk or the table, but I am developing a lap tray system which should work for now.

I have lots of bits clipped and sanded, all done one by one ready for an assembly day.

I have even been able to drill out the horns on half the track links too.

There should be something to actually blog in the next few days, once I have the time to get everything I have done, out, assembled and photographed.

As ever and I am sure you will all appreciate the pain of, just as you have got all your stuff ready to start modeling

""Move your modelling stuff, we will have visitors shortly""

Grrr, seems to have been every day this week.

I can't believe some of you guys have finished already !!!!

The box art, James, very 1994 and straight out of the Art Deco Nazi propaganda poster folder, all tough squared jawed determination to win the day.

Scale 75 do 1:35 heads which are just the same, straight off the propaganda posters and ideal for an $$ diorama, if you were inclined!

Simon, John, I'm keeping mine more or less, , OOTB, clean cut with no real baggage as I have another idea for a finish, which puts the Stug III at the centre with many other players in a scenario I once saw on the MiniArt site and would like to try for myself.

I know, not much given away, and I'll keep it under wraps until it looks something like, and I have the base prepared.

I have a PE set for the Stug III B and will only use those pieces that actually improve the look, as I, like many others have figured out that all PE is not an improvement, only some of it.

So, the words are up to date, I need to get the plastic up to date too.

Thanks chaps and have a Stug weekend

                              Steve H
