Looking at the movable chain for my upcoming 1/6 Honda CRF 1000 Africa Twin build, this should be interesting.
Four sprues with 70 odd parts on each.

And a steel roller for every pin.

At least Tamiya give you a jig to build chain sections on and a tool to press the side link plates on which should make it a bit easier. I will need to pay attention though as the holes in the plates are tapered so must be fitted correctly.

 In any case, I think Tamiya used ABS exactly because normal modelling cement won’t work on it, and because it’s stronger than polystyrene, which seems important for a working motorcycle chain. Quite why it has to work, though, I’m not sure. Does the kit have a working engine too?
