ID:	1255085 was going to leave the numerous seams on the bum but what the hell made a start. Going to measure the boot topping and then remove the nasty moulded lines. Next is sand with finer grades etc

Right, finally after a lot of playing with pe, using resin and a UV light, pva and then various tyres and makes of ca, applied with metal bar, cocktail sticks and loopers. My confidence is a lot better but way to go!

So not trying to teach granny to suck eggs, Tirpitz and Bismarck had float plane hangers either side of the funnel. So today started on the port side hanger plus pe

Just shows how big these battleships were - hangers on a ship! Looks neat work. Often with PE I tack it in place with PVA, plenty of time to get the PE into position and if it goes wrong easy to remove and clean up. I then wick thin CA around the edge.

Looking at that you can see how PE can really create detail not possible with injection moulded plastic. Looks great.

Now playing with the main plane hanger, cut of all the various boat cradles and supports, also moulded on hanger door. Started to fit the pe cradles.

Not yet added the front ones, bit of experimenting. The first two have used pva to hold the middle connection, then used a looper to wick pe. The back set have used slow ca on all the connections before fitting.

hanger door has been attached with pva, next the looper.

Roof boat cradles done phew. Used the excellent dspiae clamp to hold the body, then used tweezers and a looper. Best method i found as long as you counted to 20!!
