ID:	1255084 got the superb 5 vol set on Tirpitz, packed with photos by the hundreds plus excellent colour schemes. Wish books like this were done on the Hood etc

ID:	1255085 was going to leave the numerous seams on the bum but what the hell made a start. Going to measure the boot topping and then remove the nasty moulded lines. Next is sand with finer grades etc

        Right, finally after a lot of playing with pe, using resin and a UV light, pva and then various tyres and makes of ca, applied with metal bar, cocktail sticks and loopers. My confidence is a lot better but way to go!

        So not trying to teach granny to suck eggs, Tirpitz and Bismarck had float plane hangers either side of the funnel. So today started on the port side hanger plus pe

          Just shows how big these battleships were - hangers on a ship! Looks neat work. Often with PE I tack it in place with PVA, plenty of time to get the PE into position and if it goes wrong easy to remove and clean up. I then wick thin CA around the edge.
