Nowt wrong with those stripes....as steve said....applied by brush and not always neat....in fact ive got a pic somewhere that it looks like they blindfolded the poor erk before they put a brush in his hand!
This is going together nicely filedata/fetch?id=1234436&d=1727702929
Andrew,
I was going to say I will follow along, but your nearly finished. Nice job on the stripes.
Dont worry about the stripes not being straight. I believe they were hand painted on in the war and were often wonky. Looks more realistic
Looking great Andrew.I was good at St Ives show and only bought 2 kits and some Hataka acrylics to try.Great Spitfire.
Pip pip.
Richard
Now they look very nice indeed - great work.
Do you post on MSC as well?

A pic tells more then a 1000 words Andrew! nice paintjob![]()

Looking great Andrew. I was going to ask about the missing invasion stripes on the fuzz but I have just gone through your thread and seen your explanation on page 1. Lovely work.
Andrew,
that has turned out very nicely mate.
Thanks chaps. Glad you're liking it!
Steve - I did found two sets of AM decals I could have used to address the marking issue but the Hannants one is out of stock and they won't have it back in stock until the end of the year earliest, which is to long....the other set was over £30 and so was far too expensive!
Scottie - does this mean I can tempt you to do a wingy thing?!?!?
Thanks again.
Andrew
