Crikey Chris that’s huge

Over 4 foot long according to Scalemates, does it come with a clear deck like the original?

Looking forward to seeing you tackle this one.

Geoff.

Hi all. My latest acquisition….
Redgrass games R9 painting light. Here it is in place on my painting bench.
IMG_2770.jpg
Much better quality light than my old light, and it’s smaller and more adjustable (output 10 to 100%) at a touch of a button. The two light “arms” are adjustable to minimise shadows as well….
IMG_2772.jpg
The old light has been moved to my “build” bench so in effect it’s a double upgrade…..

Here is the old one for comparison….
IMG_2771.jpg
Not bad lighting from the old one, but it’s about ten years old now and I’ve noticed the light quality has deteriorated over the last six months. It is also not great when painting reds as the tubes aren’t great in the red spectrum. Not a cheap product, but it will get used most days so is more cost effective to me than buying half a dozen kits and leaving them in the cupboard for years until I get around to them…….

HI Tim yes thats a very good light an i like the idea of it bein ajustable lighting as when i build i find that ive just not enough light so i have switch on the big strip light on the other side of the room an then its ok hope you get on ok with it sir

that's a touch over 48 inches or four foot and a gnats tadger. Big but not near five foot. It is a boat I have look at for a while. Now I can just watch you build it..... Is it going to sail?

Well its like this...I could not choose so....

20250324_134831.jpg
The limited edition ice blue. (Iwant the decals enlarged to 1/14 from this.... )

HI Ian yes about that length as i measured the box an it was 51 inches long but till i open it up to measure the acual hull i'll leave it at that an im not sure about makein it sail as all the 1/350 th scale carriers ive seen on the water were not best if the wind an waves got up so when i open it up i'll have a ponder of thought as ive got nr everything to make it sail by r/c but will see as id hate to see it sink lol
ATB SIR chrisb an jen

So today i visited the only model shop within 30 miles of me........i was lookung for a few things in particular......had none of them!.......but wasnt going to leave empty handed and since i like old kits that noah first did i picked this up cos it was silly cheap

Some russian manufactuer called iom-kit but it was originally a Frog kit from back in the 70s......its been repopped by about a dozen russian companies since.....but its another trip down memory lane for me........back then when i was a nipper the village post office sold airfix and the newsagent sold frog and then matchbox

Some books
20250329_160935.jpg also got the hard to find French battleships up to 1914, which includes the bonkers pre dreadnoughts plus the destroyer books in the post, all for good prices.

Another bargain kit.

I have one of those plane jigs, works well, apart from the stick on rubber pads, that keep unsticking....may have to superglue them down.
