I have used puffin plastics in the past.

A company called Visual Impact based in Yorkshire was displaying acrylic cases at a show a few years ago, but I don't know if they're still trading.

Just a quick update case ordered through Visual Impact based in Yorkshire. Not a bad price with postage and packing £20.

They're still going then. That's a good price. Hope the quality is as good as the ones I saw at the show..

Visual Impact normally trade at Telford each year.
Bought a display case from them that unfortunately had a nasty knock during shipping through no fault of their own despite it being very well packaged.
They replaced the damaged case very promptly, and would recommend using them to anyone reading this post. Excellent service

If this is in the wrong place can some one move it please.

I made an order for the case I needed on the 17th Feb. Once the company made contact with me by email telling me the price and asking if that was fine I said yes straight away. I rang about payment they said once the case was being made they would let me know and ask for payment then. (In the past with other suppliers they have asked for payment straight away)
The following week I needed another case which was quoted at £15.00 plus another delivery fee of £8 I asked if they could not put into the same box as my original order, they stated that the supplier delivered on weight of the package sent.
I still needed the extra case so I agreed.
On the 16th of March I rang to see what was happening with the order. I was told that it would be completed by Friday of that week. They rang on Friday and said the machine they used had broken down on Wednesday and it would be repaired by the 23rd.
On Wednesday 25th I was told it was next inline, Thursday I received an email requesting the payment. I received an invoice but no online link, when I rang they asked for the money to be bank transfered which I did. Once they had received confirmation it would be shipped arriving the following day (since they received the confirmation after 2pm it would be shipped the following day. Late Friday afternoon I got a phone call and they couldnt apologise enough as the courier service had not turned up. I was asked if I wanted it shipped by Royal mail 24 hour delivery or by trhe courier concerned , I opted for he courier service, as past experience of Royal mail 24 hour service has not been very positive.
The cases were well packed i bubble wrap and tape.
The cases look nice, the clear acrylic part of the case fits the base snuggly. Also their a feet on the on the base and also cleaning instructions for the case.

Just had to purchase a number of new bespoke cases for a number of modelsbouught on ebay. Rather than just going to Visual Impact. I decided to get a number of quotes for the 4 different cases I needed.
I sent an email to both Visual Impact and Puffin plastics of Stroud for quotes.
I found that I could get a quick quote for the cases at Puffins using their online case calculator at
https://www.puffinplastics.co.uk/be...ns[height-mm]=92&customisations[width-mm]=152
which is easy to use All four cases came out at £15 each then postage and packing had to be applied.

case sizes needed

1 x 3mm clear case - 150mm L x 80mm D x 50mm h - blue base
1 x 3mm clear case - 130mm L x 80mm D x 50mm h - blue base
1 x 3mm clear case - 170mm L x 70mm D x 80mm h - blue base
1 x 3mm clear case - 220mm L x 70mm D x 75mm h - blue base

Both companies replied by email within 24 hours
Puffin Plastic quoted £60 for the 4 cases plus £15 postage and packing with delivery of between 14 - 21 days before despatch. Payment was to be paid on the order being confirmed, they sent out electronic bill ( payed through Stripe). You are also asked to confirm payment by email.
On enquiring further with puffin plastics postage and packing is dependent on the number of items ordered, and also on the size of the case. I was told that if I only ordered 3 cases the cost would have been £10 for postage and packing
Visual Impact quoted £62 for the cases and a standard £15 postage and packing.

I went with puffin plastics I have attached an image the case in question.

Once the order was complete I was sent an email stating who was going to deliver the order,(DPD plus tracking info).

When the order arrived the wife looked horrified as the box was about 15inches x 15 inches x15 inches. I said the the item was extremely heavy (not) and the wife looked horrified when the driver passed her the box.

On opening the box the four cases were well packed in loads of bubble wrap and loads of paper wrapping. Once I removed the paper wrapping which filled over 50% of the box (a waste of resources and a totally over sized box for the items ordered).

For me its best to check around to get the best price for cases.
