Great to hear Tim, sounds like your recovery is going well.
Going very well Andy. It occasionally plateaus but moves fowards again after a couple of days. Most of it now is about regaining strength and stamina that I lost over the last year or so.

Glad you’ll nearly there Tim, it sounds like it’s made a massively positive difference for you 👍

Geoff.
Yep, I really think it has Geoff. I still tire easily at the moment but it’s better than having to stop because it just hurts too much to carry on walking.

Great news Tim , glad to hear youre getting there and the pains have gone , cheers tony

Last post on this because I was passed fully fit on Monday. That means seven weeks after my hip replacement surgery I am classed as completely healed and able to go back to normal life, carrying moderate weights and moving the hip joint in any way that is natural. First practice with the band today as well, and I had more energy than I’ve had for as long as I can remember. I even played a couple of songs standing up (I usually sit) for the first time since I joined them just after Covid four years ago. For me this improvement seems nothing short of remarkable. Anyone that needs a hip replacement and who is putting it off, just do it. You won’t regret it.

Great to hear youre back to match fitness Tim , back to jumping off the speakers and crowd surfing with the band ;)
Cheers tony
I wish Tony LOL. It was about the only thing I was told not to do, jump off of lorrys carrying heavy loads. I just laughed because I’m certainly not built for that.

Now no crowd surfing Tim as has been suggested😉

You seem to have made excellent progress in the short time since the op.
John.
Well, with the size of me, and the age of most of our punters, I would probably send some of them to hospital LOL…. Must admit it’s gone really quickly. I do tend to think of these things as three days, three weeks, and three months. Three days is purgatory as the operation pain comes out, three weeks after that the operation bruising fades and things get back to allowing you to start the rehabilitation. If you carry on the rehab for the next three months you are back to where you should be.
