Thanks for that Paul, it makes sense and sorry for the late reply. Haven't had bench time since we rescued another 6 kittens.

The resin kit came wit applique side armour so I figure that would stay as an older mark hull being re-used. The turret won't have the applique added then.

Hi, just had a little bench time to do a bit of composition of the tank figures...

The figures are from single sprue bubble packs that Tamiya occasionally output.



Basically I may be positioning these two like these...the squatting figure will be passing a cuppa to his mate while the one in front is looking at the kids and leaning on the transmission hub.

Hi Guys, I'm resuscitating this build which was stalled 5 years ago due to the completing of the Ambush and Kure Harbour dios. I have re-edited the past WIP images to their rightful sizes for your viewing pleasure so you can start from the first page to recollect what I have done so far. Took me a while to assemble the accessories from the stash again for this dio especially the figure that would be modified. Deadline for me is for next years MALCOM show...not really much time as my build speed goes.
The composition hasn't changed but the concept of lighting will and the degree of rubble will be increased as well as the change of the cobble stone floor.
Keep fingers crossed that this reaches the finishing line with no interruptions.
Titbits and beverages available...just ask Matron politely and you'll get your fix minus the whip and needle.

Gee whizz...I just noticed I was still signed off as Richard then.

Hope the kittens have grown up into lovely adult kitties.
One thing that was rather poignant was that way back on the first page was a post from Simon T. Still miss him.

You're right about the blast from the past, Jim. I had a long pause as I got to both Simon T and GerryW's posting, one a long standing contributor and the other a fairly new one, both taken away. Often wondered about their comments when I finish this project. The kitties are now lovely scoundrels.

Glad you are posting again Richard. Glad the kitties are doing well also. Our new chap is still at the bitey stage. He was a rescue from London that was initially hand reared by our daughter. He’s now fixed and allowed out, but that just seems to have made him faster and fitter….

Hi Tim, good to know you are the rescuer kind. We made the mistake of neutering as we fostered rescued cats but got attached through the lengthy program so we have 25 of them plus two dogs. Obviously my time is taken up to care for these guys so my bench time is curtailed...pun intended.
Imagine a fix can easily create a super cat. The roads in Malaysia aren't pet friendly with cars whizzing around so we keep our pets in the house so occasionally we have Grand Prix's. Feeding time is when they are in their best behavior.

25 cats . You must get your kibbles by the pallet load……let alone kitty litter….. Very easy to get attached though isn’t it Richard…..

This is our two……the young lad is called Frodo and the stripes girl is Dotty.


He started like this……three hour manual feeds by my daughter, who is a veterinary nurse. He was handed at a couple of hours old in after being thrown away in a bin….

Aw...he's cute. Yep, we buy in bulk whenever price drops. At the moment 8 bags of 18kg kibbles ready stocked and 40 10kg on stand by that never is enough. They can sure poop and pee. The rescued four kittens that were palm sized with ears still flat against their heads and still blind were bottle fed by me, burped and tummy rubbed to urge them to pee and poop. When that got automatic it was amazing that they new how to go to the litter box by themselves. Now all grown up they worship my feet...I guess that was the first thing they saw at feeding time. They groom my hair whenever I lay beside them and give me close eye contact. I get kneaded as well so I feel like dough or cow.
