Latest Acquisitions (2026)

This was super cheap. Had to have it
Beware the rear spoiler......... Make sure you have lots of sanding sticks and paper.

After trying to cut perfect circles in plastic sheet, and failing abysmally..... I gave up and bought this instead.

Been a long while since I did it but I remember the twin turbos getting in the way when the body she'll is fitted to the chassis.... Think I had to resort to 'surgery' lol
Trip to Hobbycraft today, and I came out with these....
Won a lot at my local auction house
What I was after was the stutz and the aston but the other two were in the lot too.... The Roller is a poor kit and the helo will go on the shelf til we do another helo gb

Nice haul, I just visited my local auction yesterday (to view) as they have an auction today and had listed loads of "model cars" and "models", no other descriptions or details....but when I got there it was just loads (eg: dozens) of small scale die cast model cars in boxes, eg: Matchbox, etc, not my thing at all, so left dissapointed..... I was hoping for maybe a nice Airfix Bentley or summit...!

I know you are after a bently blower...... There was a lot that included four airfix and revell ones..... But it went for silly money in the end..... If I had won I'd have sent you one
My latest three aquisitions arrived from Great Northern Roads.
1. A townhouse ruin
2. A house ruin ( must have ran out of names for this one )
3. A cafe flats ruin
I have inspected them and the casts are great.
Don't know if I'll het time to post up photos before I go on holiday tomorrow but if I can Iwill.

So, I was in town today doing a few errands, on my walk home I pass the last of what was a dozen or so shops that sold model kits in my area, as it came into view i said to myself,
''don't go in there, you've got everything you need, more than you'll ever need, the last thing you want is even more kits!!''
As I walked past I waved at the guy who had been there since it opened from a former typewriter repair shop in the 1970's, it's more of a remote control models shop really but he has a wall full of kits and it's the only shop that sells Tamiya paint within 30 miles! So, having walked past, how did I end up with this?

I probably should have posted this under product reviews ..... but I've started so I';; finish ..... in the words of the late and great Magnus Magnusson.
we have for your delight .....
A townhouse ruin ....
and here we are ....
5 plaster cast pieces in total and I can assure you the casts are really first class with all married end / joints having the correct match ....
the outside floor cast and house enterance is a seperate cast and pretty well done ....
the door way is pretty well bombed out as well which could make a nice feature ....
tother end .....
A view of the inside .... nice and flat.
more of an aerial shot ....
and again from the front ....
The casts are nice and crisp, flat where they need to be and I think GNR have probably taken time " Post Production " to provide a decent finish on the casts ..... a big thumbs up.
The rest to follow.

next up is the house ruin
same style but different layout...
only 4 casts this time with the stairs being seperate ....
like that ....
from the side ....
and the other side with a little assistance from the hand of God ....
from the rear ....
and a slight ariel from the rear ...
again .... all casts were perfect and all faces as they should be for a great match. Nice flat interfaces and great detail. Just waiting for you to add your own stamp on how you finish it.

as with most of the GNR range, there are some nice details showing where floor joists etc have previously been prior to destruction.....
and the last one, again, from the front and slightly ariel just trying to show a different perspective ......
