All the boards are now fitted , a few have been left off and a couple broken to give the derelict look . I cut fourteen of the roof sheets from the corrugated cardboard to a scale 8x 3 then peeled the back off the first couple of corrugations so they can be overlapped . They have now been fitted and I decided to leave the last two off so they can be laid loose on the base . I just need to source a paper straw for the ridge caps then I can think about painting them .
The barn doors were made in a ledge and brace style , not sure if theyre both going to be hung or if one is going to be hanging off or even laid on the floor .

Cheers colin , I’m going to dust it up a bit , it looks a bit too clean . I painted the tyres dark grey but they still look a bit fresh so I have a cunning plan .

Amazing work Tony. Looks like you are using a plastic straw for the cap. I can't remember the last time I saw a plastic straw, all we can get here now are paper straws that go soggy if you're too slow drinking.

Good spot Joe , I was intending to use the plastic straw but found nothing sticks to it , superglue just doesnt work and pva either . Looks like I’m on the hunt for a paper straw - the only good use for one !

Actually mcdonalds have just started using a bigger diameter paper straw ( i know this cause I had a frappe only last week ! ) so theyre no good but a trip to Wetherspoons might be in order , I think theirs are thinner . Plus any excuse to go to ‘Spoons is a winner

As promised the tractor has had a dusting to dull the shine a bit . One of Rons favourite methods for this was using Polyfilla powder but in the absence of this I used tile grout ( even more apt as he ran a tile shop before he retired )
To make it stick I misted it over with hairspray then dusted on the grout with a big brush while it was still wet ( you have to be quick though as the hairspray dries almost instantly )
Ive also added hinges to the barn doors , cut from thin aluminium ( tea light candle ) and a handle and hasp . I’m going to hang the right hand door and have the left hand on the ground as if its pulled off the hinges - to this end ive fastened one to the frame and two still on the door . The ends of the planks have been nibbled a bit to give a slightly rotten effect and theyve now had a coat of paint.
