I got a paper straw at last so the ridge caps are now on and Ive hung the right hand door . Ive now started to think about what crap I’m going to fill the barn with. I had a couple of nearly right sized oil drums from the spares box but wanted a few more . The plastic drums are about 50 ltr size and I thought a few 25 ltr would be nice . Wine foil was cut to the right size and scored with a biro for the ridges then rolled round a pencil and glued .Tops and bottoms were cut and glued in and a cap and handle added . In true Ron fashion it then went off in a different direction and I ended up making a small car trailer with balsa , strips of stirring stick and a couple of wheels from the spares box . The tarp on the top is the Tunnocks wafer wrapper - it was standard fare when we used to meet up at Cosford . Its now painted up , rusted and had the hairspray/ grout treatment to dusty it up a bit.

Still making this up as I go along , I decided to add a fence at the back of the barn . Its the post and split rail type and cocktail sticks are perfect , split down the middle for the rails. Its had a coat of faded brown and a green wash .

Simply brilliant Tony. Excellent use of materials. It's all coming together very nicely. Did you have to take one for the team and drink or eat yourself into a coma to get the straw?

Well I havent got any weetabix but I have got a big pile of stirring sticks and some other crap . I had a big think and came up with the following detritus to fill the back of the barn . I made two feeding troughs , a farm style kitchen table and some wooden crates . I also wanted a couple of sacks so the bias binding was used and the ends of a cotton bud stuffed in to make them look full . I made one sealed up and the other open and half full ( of what ,god only knows!)
The two 50 lt plastic oil drums i had from the spares box were painted up , one of them having the top cut off and severely rusted as if it is used to burn stuff , subsequently being filled with scrap bits of timber ready to be burnt ( steady JR !). The three 25 lt drums have been painted up too. A problem I may now have is if its all going to fit in !

Youre not kidding , I HAD to have a tidy up of the bench yesterday , I actually ran out of space !
After a big clean up Ive now been making more stuff - a sack barrow from wire ,a wooden pallet and I wasnt happy with the spares box plastic oil drum and crate so I made a lid for it and I’m going to have it slightly open with some tools sticking out .
