I’ve pulled up a seat at the back ☺️. Absolutely stunning work on that suspension and steering rack and all the etch and scratch work too…..very nice 😎

I built this kit when I first started and also had the etch set. Made a right mess of it and only just got it together 🤣.
cheers Si, glad you like the additions. I first built this back in my youth, a long time ago.

Never thought of metal strip to make the leaf springs with. Did they glue together okay?. Did you have to cut the strips from sheet or can you buy the metal strips?? Beautiful work as always my friend.

Steve, my apologies for the very late reply. I make the leaves from both depending on the size of them. As they are only for effect I solder the middle of the group to hold them in place.
I keep saying that I will buy some thin spring steel and try and make a working set.

The kit has no detail at all on the underside of the load bed, so using some pictures I scratched a little detail, it's not 100% accurate but gives the idea of the bracing and supports.

Next the front received some attention using an etch set and some scratch to replace the width indicators using wire and small beads from a selection set from a hobby store. The head lamps had the pegs replaced with wire for strength and the notek got a tweak as well.
