Corsair
Do I, or don’t I?….and which one??
Corsair & Skyraider - interesting
T-62 - Inaccurate, as I recall
Pink Panther - always a goodie
F-35s - Dull
The tractor - have to have a 'plane with it...
I did not know Tamiya did that Marine Amphib beast

Skyraider or the marine amphib thingy

That is if you're joining us

I’ve had a think and I’m going to build the Mossie 🙂

I’ve been inspired by Boatman’s various builds using lighting so am going to save the Skyraider to use for this purpose next year once I’ve got my head around how to do it 🤔

It's a personal thing...... I don't find most modern aircraft to be exciting and the f35 seems very dull to me.

I get your point and we all have different tastes. Modern military aircraft lack a certain aesthetic appeal compared to types from even the recent past perhaps. For me, the appeal of the 1/72 F-35A in Danish markings is the discrete but eye catching roundel and fin flash.

For the F-35C it’s the larger 1/48 scale combined with the wing fold and bomb load that could build into an imposing model that I find appealing.

Plus - a tenuous link to both types is the landing gear is manufactured by the company I work for.

Well, I refer to the first post, rule 7.....Have fun!!!..... Do the kit that brings you the most joy

It's not just the f35..... When you look at the three most common European aircraft..... Typhoon, Rafael and Gripen they all look similar..... No doubt due to being the best design for the role...... And they are always grey :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: . ..... At least when Saab pioneered the canard/delta thing with the Viggen it still looked chunky and interesting cos it was old tech

I’m looking forward to seeing you build this Rick. I’ve heard good things about how Tamiya have engineered it and it will be interesting to see how a modern kit from Tamiya goes together.

I know what Paul means regarding its aesthetics, I didn’t think much of the F-35 either until I saw one being flown at an air show 😮 that changed my opinion it’s an awesome bit of kit.
