My Sandisk 32Gb SDHC card has developed a crack in the body and is now not going into my digi camera. I don't want to force it and break it totally before i get all my photos off it.

On looking on evilbay i see loads of micro SD cards with adapters to make the size of the normal SD card. Would these be ok to put into a camera or should i keep searching for a 'correct size' SD card?

I had that problem once and now I use exclusively Micro SD cards with or without adaptors. That way I can use the Micro SD cards in my smartphone, dashcam, laptops and PCs without the adaptor and my four Canon digital cameras using the SD Card adaptor.

Yes Al .... That's EXACTLY what I do.....

I have 2 in my camera with adaptors in, they work fine

I used to have an sd card with built in wi-fi. Could take pictures and send then direct to my lap top. Fantastic. Then they stopped software updates and support for them gutted.

Works fine in my Canon 70d, allows removal of only micro card if that works for you

I can't see the point of using a micro card and adapter - isn't that another connection to go wrong?

I was only asking as there were loads of these on offer and when i did eventually find the correct size SD card, it was WAY more expensive than the option of a micro SD and adaptor.

I use the USB connector on the camera to pc, and run Canon image software, but also sometimes remove the card.
