Here's a bit of fun.

Whilst I was building my Albatros D.III, I remembered I had the remnants of a WWI battlefield I made, and was lying in the loft somewhere, so I thought it would be good fun to try and marry them together.

I didn't want to wreck the aircraft, or 'muck it up', so you'll just have to imagine a gentle forced landing well behind the British lines. Bouncing along, and luckily missing shell holes and debris, the aircraft has quietly plonked itself into a long abandoned German trench (even a disabled British tank is still there) The war goes on further west, but all is now quiet here. The pilot has surrendered to British troops, and the R.F.C. erks are on the scene to try and salvage the machine for a closer look.

All a bit far fetched, but who cares - it's a great yarn!

Nice work on the marriage of the two builds Ron, and it works very well.

Thanks for your positive comments, chaps. I suppose I should have done loads more to the actual base, but that wasn't the point of the exercise.

Thanks again,
Ron

Thanks Monica and Dave.

The base is now back up in the loft, no doubt making the spiders happy once more!

Cheers,
Ron

Brilliant, it works really well.

Oops! Sorry Colin, I pressed the reply to Miguel, just the 'A new message' thingy flashed up!

Thanks for the post and positive comments there in! I could have mucked the aircraft up a bit, but I didn't want to spoil it, and done some more work to the base. But I just wanted to see if the thing would work with nothing being done - except tipping it into the trench.
