A visit to Kendal up in the Lakes for a few days.
After pounding the streets of Kendal today and popping into all the charity shops in the hope of finding a little gem The only model related thing I came across was this kit from AMT Xizor . It's a vinyl kit so I happily paid the asking price of £10. Just need to find a new pair of shoes now

Was just browsing eBay looking for the new retooled Trumpeter E-100 but found this for $15 so I had to buy it
It's really inaccurate even for a paper panzer, but only the turret. It was cheap and it can be used as a project perhaps?

I've also bought these ones under the claim "the kids might love to build one of them", but honestly I've bought them for myself because I found them both cute and funny...

At first I couldn't make up my mind what I thought of them but the more I looked at them the more I liked them, as a comical relief, and my hobby store got them in today at £12 each so I had to grab one of each!

Almost bought the Italeri SR-71 Black Bird 1/72 although it is what it is, but since I can't find a a better one I might just go with it... Haven't decided yet...

Well my two weeks off from work started today but no time for modelling I've got decorating to do. So the calm before the storm was a visit to the Avon model show near Bristol today. Great show as it turned out and worth the 160 mile round trip with lots of quality builds on show and some nice bargains to be found. I'll be going again next year and would recommend it highly. Here's what I acquired today. Thanks for looking cheers John .

I stopped at a LMS in Poole today while on a business trip and spuds this BoB set for £25 and the LRDG for £20 (steep), I built this as a teenager and it makes a great little set when done.

I had to dig deep for this one because it had to be shipped from UK since we've got nobody selling Squadron in Sweden, but it's the icing on the cake for my German "What if" lineup/large scale diorama that is under construction.
I'd hoped scalemodelshop.co.uk (i.e. you guys) had it so I could support you with some business but sadly you didn't stock this model.

Yes, it's a somewhat silly model - but it was a Nazi wet dream to build a moon base after winning WWII and this certainly fits well within that frame!
