Well it's not exactly modelling as such but I picked up a great bargain today
My good lady and I were looking at new bedroom furniture the other day ( no veneer in ere advert ) may give the company away ?
Whilst driving home I got a phone call and my wife answered ( it was Our local Arnold Clark car dealership saying they had some fantastic bargains this weekend )
We were not really going to get a new car until next spring but we thought we have a look at what they had on offer.
Found this cracking number and for a 3yr old car less than 9000 on the clock!!!
So we did the deal today and she is an Awsome car.
Thought I would share the news
Also see what you all out there drive
We know Polux loves his Landrovers ( still my ultimate dream )

Regards

Robert

Last year we had to get a fresh car as our mondeo was going to cost more to mot than it was worth. We got a Nissan Primera 1.8 on a 06 plate. 99,000 miles and a years mot. Cracking car that does 45 mpg on a long run. Not bad for a petrol.

Thanks Paul
Well this is a 1.4 TOCA and it is supposed to do 47mpg ( a little thirsty ) but I think as it has quite a few mod cons onboard then it weights up against the negatives.
My wife has called it Grace Kelly and she defo does has a lot of charm about her

Wow!!! Nice vehicle Robert!
Looks perfect and new!!! Congrats, I like it a lot ;)

Tomorrow I will post a picture of mine....Wednesday my girlfriend, the Land Rover and me.... starts a trip!!!
From Genova to Alberobello!! All Italy at our rhythm.....:p

Can almost smell the new car scent in those pics. Nice one. Had to search the make and model. I did not know that Spain even had a car manufacturer.

Yep!!!
Hi Robert.....I moved the thread to the chit chat section. Thought is better!

Regards
Polux

Hi robert , great deal , it looks like brand new (and much better than a chest of drawers!). lovely looking ibiza , is the sat nav yours or included?

Not a bad selection of motors, and a nice bargain Robert, but......

Here is the second love of my life - 2.8i V6. Ally body. Not a kit car! Not a lot to the gallon. Aerodynamics of a fence panel - but up to 60mph !

For the record, here's my first and third love - The one on the right is my first!!!

Garvin Sat nav comes with the car ( it's part of the Seat Deal
The toca comes with all the mod cons you could really want from a medium size car.
It's got a stalk on the dashboard that you can remove for safety : security so you can remove the sat nav
Just clicks in place
Annoying thing is it's programmed to say " beware beware speed speed ) if you go 5mph over the limit
Needs to work this out
Not that I speed
( any policeman reading this )

Other thing is do you name your cars?
My last was pingu ( cause it was a Renault twingo ( wife named it )
The new Ibiza she had maned Grace Kelly cause she's grey and is very graceful in lines )
Me it's a nice car and gets me from A to B

Yes mines called Tazio , as in Tazio Nuvolari , the flying mantuan . Famous for driving among other things a blood red alfa romeo.

Is this the ST focus
Looks a sweet ride

yeah its a mk2 face lift. Had an engine remap taking it up to 275bhp. Nicknamed her Stella cos she looks a bit chavy with the black wheels but didn't have a choice about them!

Of course you don't Robert, none of us do :)

IS this of help? http://www.vwgenuineparts.co.uk/VW_speed_warning.shtml

In my car, which is an Australian made General Motors dinosaur, the speed warning can also be adjusted when it activates and shows on the display, simply wind the menu wheel UP and set a new speed. Looks like you need to just press OK on your spaceship

I prefer my cars like Polux do. Land Rover/Range Rover! :D

First one is a Discovery II facelift -04 (sadly gone now) and the second is my current Vogue -07. It's been serving me very well all these years and it's the best car I've ever owned! (also the most expensive...)

Not cheap to own or drive, but weather and terrain are no longer variables when going somewhere! ;)
Also they're the only cars I can get in/out of comfortably and to drive any distance with my dodgy back...

I admit that I'm a wee bit worried about the diesel situation in Sweden... I wish I could afford an electric conversion of the Range Rover but my days of large scale tinkering are over.
