Nice to see the lads today at the Southwell show. I was struggling to find anything to ping my interest today but I managed to get these before i left. See you at Telford cheers John View attachment 288887 View attachment 288888
Nice goodies john , you must have put the ohka in the car before we saw you, i would have liked to have a gander at that one. How much did you pay for it ?

Yes Joe! to be purchased separately. Sally comes with a house and a car. Bob comes with a park bench and some trash/bin liners. Ask me how I know? I'm not bitter honest. ;)

So dad's Xmas shopping for his young daughter. He's not really savvy with that so he asks the shop assistant for help.
She asks how old is his daughter. "She's 10" he says.
The assistant tells him that Barbie dolls are usually popular with 10-year old girls so he asks how much.
"Well", says the assistant, "There are Barbies with different outfits such as Horse-riding Barbie, Nurse Barbie, Ballerina Barbie. These all cost £19.99 each". Dad says he's prepared to spend more than that 'cos it's Xmas.
"In that case", says the assistant, there's always divorced Barbie. She costs £149.99".
"Wow" says dad. "How come she's so much more than the others?"
"Well", says the assistant. "She comes complete with Ken's car, Ken's house and Ken's clothes"

View attachment 288955 Really nice book from the works. Plenty of very useful reference pictures inside too. Black and white photos and also some coloured illustrations of different uniforms and equipment. Not bad for a tenner

Got this one for the upcoming AA GB build and no surprise but I'm doing a... drum roll...

...a German 1946 "what if" Flak panzer!

I've also bought a WWI Whippet because the Mk.IV build was a lot more inspirational than I thought it'd be.

I'm also thinking about buying myself the Hobbyboss 1/72 82911 German 80cm Railway Gun "Dora" kit as a Christmas gift to myself, but it's a really BIG kit and it will take a fair bit of space when built so it'll require some planning before I go ahead with such a purchase...

the one on the box is kind of famous

this guy was in command, its in Bovington tank museum

That's the one I've planned to build but I didn't know about Cecil Sewell so thanks for that background info!
Building these British WWI tanks gives you a better understanding what a feat these early tanks were - albeit full of compromises and odd choices, but they saved many British soldiers life!

I hope Little Willie exists as a kit in 1/35 scale? I know I can get a Mk.I, a Mk.IV Tadpole and a Mk.V. There's also the German A7V as a kit and the French FT-17 and the Char, but then I don't know so much about WWI tanks. All of them together should make a nice little diorama although unrealistic, but still. :)

Picked this up earlier in the week, didn't realise how long it is, 22.5 cm but it's one of my favourite ground attack aircraft. It just looks so intimidating and elegant at the same time

Haha if I can find a german uniform to fit him he might do!

Got this one yesterday off a mate for £20 and a couple of beers in the pub.Don't like the kit scheme. So will be looking for an after market decal sheet.
