My wife bought me a home brew wine kit for Chrizzy, so we've been busy happily emptying 'Commercial' bottles in readiness for the re-filling with proper stuff!

When I was soaking off the labels, I came up with a fun challenge to see if I could make a passable vignette to go on top of the screw top.

The figures are Caesar Miniatures 1/72 U.S. Infantry, nicked from my 'Sniper' dio. The base is an excellent Chilean Red, topped with scrap bits n' bobs (stonework suitably scribed with a modelling knife) Gern's cocktail stick remnants , a bit of well ground down weetabix, and then painted with 'Poundshop' acrylics.

Here is the result. I hope you approve of this little bit of nonsense, folks.

Excellent work. Very nice. It will be those pencil tip carvings next if you follow this route.

Ha ha, there's no stopping you Ron, excellent work, as ever, and reminded me of some ridiculously small stuff I once saw in a museum, modelled in the eye of a needle!!!

P.S. This isn't a challenge ;-)

Please...don’t stop to surprise me every day Ron :hungry::hungry::hungry:

Brilliant! Next up, carve a Panther from a grain of rice!

Thats absolutely fantastic - wine in a screw top bottle !

(oh and the little men on top are ok too:tongue-out3::tongue-out3::tongue-out3:)

Seriously though , this is absolutely gobsmacking Ron , I love it, a perfect scene in miniature . the stone arch and the moss foliage are spot on .It just shows its not all about how big it is after all!:smiling5:

Lol, when you have finished your first brew and it is settling into bottles, you could use the air trap of the brewing bin/jar to recreate a scene from ‘Hunt for Red October’ in the bubble?

That's not fair, Pete. I've just looked up arborio rice, and it's short grained. Not yer' long normal stuff!

On second thoughts, if it's the feline version you want, I could carve one minus it's tail!
