I best take a look at mine Rick.

The fin had quite a few but I checked all parts as I go Ian.

The two fuselage sections are together complete with the wings and tailerons. The join is a bit ropey along the sides but the tailerons will hide most of it so not much effort required on hiding an unsightly seam. The join at the front on the nib fairings will be okay after filling.
The swing wing mechanism works but the pylons don't work in tandem with them, these will be glued in position later.

Coming along nicely Rick. My 1/72 Hasegawa had the same step on the rear fuselage fit, must be a Tornado thing, but as you say most of it will be hidden with the tailerons in a neutral position. Are you going to pose the airbrakes open?

No they’ll be closed along with the canopy.

I managed to drop my Tonka on the floor tonight and bent the tips of a wing and taileron - a touch of filler solved that problem. A bit of a pain was the carefully glued, filled and sanded seam of the rear fuselage joins that pinged open, that took a bit longer to fix.

Plodding away.
Forward fuselage to main section has been joined with a little filler and similarly with the fin and exhausts. Fitting the intakes was fairly simple and were nice and snug. You can see a fair bit of filler on the underside of the nose. The instructions tell you to add 55 grams of weight to the nose; that has almost cleaned me out of liquid gravity.

P.S. I just want to get this Tonka off my bench to get back on the Airborne Jeep sitting under the bench.

With the seats fitted I realised that I had forgotten all about the pilots control column! It’s painted and ready to install later then the main canopy can go on.

The cock pit is now done and the canopy masked and installed using Deluxe Materials’ Glue’n’glaze.

Nose cone, IFR probe and recce fairing fitted, a lousy fit and equally lousy instructions on the exact location because there are no locating holes, I took reference from phots on the Internet.

Hi Rick, just had a good read from the start.
Sorry to see it has soft detail and lots of seams, but you're doing a great job and when painted it will look great.:thumb2:

I had reason to break out the airbrush last night so blasted some black paint over the canopy.
