Hi John glad you like all bit and bobs did you see the sea weed on the edge rocks and mine cables, as for corrosion, primed with the darkest rust colour I had, coated with 75% PVA /25% water and very fine washed sand and let dry, the sand I used was from Sword Beach the one William "Bill" Millin played the pipes whilst under fire during the D-Day landing I got some from all the D-Day beaches :rolling:

Nice one Pete, that certainly gave the effect of years worth of corrosion. I shall remember that for extreme areas of rusting.Yes the sea weed on those mine cables did look good, giving the effect of water movement. So much to think about when modelling something like that.

Hi John if you try this, slighty dilute the paint (I use water) and dab on the paint not stroke it on, oil wash works well to with sand.
